MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Taranjit (Taran) Cheema is a Canadian-born designer who has a strong eye for colors and graphics. She explores mix media and always strives to create unique and inspirational pieces. In addition to fashion, she also enjoys exploring other passions such as photography and fine arts.
Originally, she pursued her love for fine arts, which naturally progressed into an interest in fashion design. In 2009, she got accepted into Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.
Taran Cheema recently graduated from Parsons with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. In May 2013, she exhibited her thesis collection at the Parsons 560 Exhibition and the Parsons Benefit Gala. Within her graduating class in the fashion program, she was recognized as being among the students who received a high score on her thesis collection.In 2016 Taran launched her label,
TKC Design Inc. Since than the brands pieces have appeared in Flare Magazine, Buzzfeed, Global TV and many more. TKC Design Inc. continues to inspire and change the fashion design scene, with innovative and colorful pieces. Taran hopes to inspire the next generation of fashion designers to do the same!
CLASSES/WORKSHOP INFORMATION:
Q: How long are workshops & classes?
A: Workshops run for a 1 day for 4-5 Hours! Classes run for 4 Weeks for 2HRS each!
Q: Will I be able to finish my project in a day?
A: Yes! If more time is required, you are welcomed to stay and finish!
Q: What are the class sizes?
A: Maximum 2-3 Students. This allows Taran to work with each student independently
Q: Can I change my date once purchased?
A: Yes! You can change your date, however, please do this earlier rather than later. We cannot change the date if your class/ workshop starts within that week!
Q: Where are the classes being held?
A: All classes/ workshops will be held in Vancouver. Location will be provided after registration via e-mail!
Q: What is the return policy?
A: All classes/workshops are final sale!
Q: What if I can't make it to a class?
A: No worries, we will offer a makeup class. Makeup classes will be a one-on-one hour long session. We will work with your schedule and provide times and dates to help accommodate. You will go through all the material that was missed during the posted class time.
Q: Do I get to keep what I make?
A: YES! Flaunt ittttt!
Q: I don't see a time and date that fits my schedule, can I request something?
