Fashion Design: Collection
Create an 6-8-piece capsule collection. Starting with trend forecasting and mood board development, students will get a hands-on guide on making their own collection.

Materials Needed:
-Sketch book or printer paper
-Pencil -Eraser
-Glue or tape
-Scissors
-Watercolor paint with paint brush or crayons or pencil crayons or markers
-Fine liner or black ink pen
-Magazines (optional)
 
We will ship you a package or provide you with all the handouts and any additional material you will need. 
 
Course Outline:
Week One
1: Intro to design : design practice think out side the box
2: Build a customer profile Homework Start Mood Board development
 
Week Two
1: Finish & Present Mood board and customer Learn about textiles
2: Learn about fashion illustrations Homework: source textiles- do 10-15 initial sketches
 
Week Three:
1: Learn how to incoporate trends
2: Learn about technical sketches Finish Fashion illustration and bring presentation materials
 
Week 4 
BREAK
Catch up, work on your final projects. 
Taran will conduct one on one feed back with each student 
 
Week 5
1: Finish technical drawings
2: Lets talk about what is next, learn about social media, creating content, marketing, branding, graphics and more
